Sorry for the delay in this release - I have been quite busy on work projects across the country. This change brings a number of bug fixes and a few new features. Check out the changelog for the full details and as always please read the manual for instructions. Initial release is the source and Windows build. Linux and MacOS to follow when I get a bit of time.

On to the changes for this release:
•Have enabled VLC backend for videos in MacOS - it sort of works
•You can change the selected row foreground and background colors now
•Fixed some file path lookup for the MAME executable to improve compatibility with some different installations in Linux and MacOS.
•Fixed some duplicate message logging
•Fixed filepaths crash if you had previously selected clear all and then went back in
•Have added some highlighting to filepaths for missing paths. At the moment it highlights everything, even if they are not critical. I may look to change that a bit later.
•And a number of other bug fixes and minor graphical improvements - check out the changelog file

Along with MAME and all its fork, NegaMAME 0.269-1 is also ready for download. Go grab it at https://babelsoft.net/products/negamame.htm

This MAME derivative has been designed to be used with the front-end Negatron in order to have complete access to all the machine configuration options within Negatron, especially useful for emulated computers and consoles.

This is quite irrelevant for emulated arcade games though. If you only play arcade games, you can simply use Negatron with regular MAME.

Note: 0.269-1 must be understood as the 1st version of NegaMAME synchronised with MAME v0.269. If other issues arise with this version, I would release a v0.269-2.

MAME0.269

It's almost the end of August, which means it must be time for MAME0.269 to be unleashed on the world! The widely-used Zilog Z8410 DMA controller emulation has had an overhaul this month. In concert with the recent Z80 CPU work, this allows more realistic I/O timings for numerous systems. If you're curious about unreleased prototypes, BASIC is starting to show signs of life on the Commodore65.

Two additional Japanese releases of Capcom fighting games on CPS-2 hardware have been found this month: a more recent version of X-MenVs. Street Fighter than any previously dumped set, and a version of Hyper Street FighterII released a bit over a week before the latest known update. The microcontroller for Irem's Gallop on M72 hardware has been dumped, allowing simulation code to be removed. Thanks to Peter Wilhelmsen and XingXing, the pace of dumping internal ROMs from IGS027A ARM CPUs has picked up, so we might see more progress on IGS games soon.

Of course, there's lots more to enjoy, including an 8085-based prototyping board, more chess computers, and improvements to MAME's debugger. You can read all about it in the whatsnew.txt file, or get the source code and 64-bit Windows binary packages from the download page.
